A one-of-a-kind ceramic serving set inspired by turquoise coves, softly breaking waves and the naturally irregular lines of the coast.
The generously sized serving bowl has been individually formed with a flowing, undulating rim that rises and falls like the edge of the tide. Its luminous turquoise interior is balanced by a softly textured ivory exterior, creating a striking contrast from every angle.
The accompanying bowl has been made to sit beautifully within the larger piece or to be used separately for dips, dressings, olives, sauces or smaller accompaniments. Together, the two pieces create an expressive yet practical centrepiece for relaxed dining and entertaining.
Both pieces have been painted by hand, making the movement, depth and variation within the turquoise colouring entirely individual to this set.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Both pieces have been individually formed from ceramic clay, with the large bowl shaped by hand to create its distinctive flowing rim and softly irregular silhouette.
The turquoise areas have been carefully painted by hand using underglaze, allowing subtle variations in tone, brushwork and depth to remain visible beneath the surface. The pieces were then finished with a food-safe glaze and kiln-fired to create their durable, gently reflective finish.
The accompanying bowl has been shaped and decorated to complement the larger piece while retaining its own individual contour and character. It may be placed within the serving bowl as part of the arrangement or used independently.
Important handmade note
This set has been made and painted entirely by hand. Gentle variations in contour, rim height, surface, colour, brushwork and glaze are a natural part of the making and firing process.
These individual qualities are not faults, but part of the set’s character and ensure that it cannot be exactly replicated. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on lighting and the screen on which they are viewed.

Care
Food safe. Handwashing only is advised to preserve the hand-painted decoration, glaze and handmade finish.
Wash gently using warm water, a soft cloth or sponge and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, sudden temperature changes and direct heat.
Handle the raised and undulating edges carefully, particularly when washing, carrying or storing the larger bowl.
