A sink-side set inspired by seafoam, turquoise waters and the softly ridged forms of shells found along the shore.
The generously sized shell dish has been individually shaped with a gently tapered profile, allowing it to rest securely on a suitable sink edge or corner. This thoughtful design enables excess water from a sponge or bar of soap to drain away rather than gathering beneath it.
An accompanying bowl completes the set, providing a complementary place for additional soaps, small brushes, jewellery or other sink-side essentials.
The two pieces may be displayed together or used independently throughout the home.
Finished in softly layered turquoise and ivory tones, both pieces are practical, tactile and entirely unique.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Both pieces have been individually formed from ceramic clay and carefully refined by hand.
The shell has been sculpted with radiating ridges and a tapered profile to combine the natural form of a seashell with practical sink-side use. The accompanying bowl has been shaped and decorated to complement it, while retaining its own individual markings and character.
A layered decorative finish in turquoise and soft ivory has been applied by hand before the pieces were glazed and kiln-fired, developing their watery colour, depth and gently reflective surfaces.
Because the materials move and respond naturally during firing, the precise flow of colour and markings cannot be controlled or exactly repeated.
Important handmade note and advisory
This set has been shaped, decorated and glazed entirely by hand. Gentle differences in form, curvature, colour, glaze movement, surface and shell detailing are an intentional part of its character.
Areas of mottling, speckling, glaze pooling and tonal variation are not faults, but evidence of the handmade process and the individual response of the materials during firing.
The tapered shell is intended for use only where it can rest securely on a stable sink edge or corner. Sink profiles differ considerably, so suitability should be checked against the dimensions provided before purchase. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on lighting and the screen on which they are viewed.

Care
Food safe. Handwashing only is advised to preserve the glaze and handmade finish.
Wash gently using warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, direct heat and sudden changes in temperature.
The shell is designed to rest on a suitable sink edge or corner so that excess water may drain away. As sink shapes and dimensions vary, please check the measurements and ensure the piece is stable and adequately supported before use.
Handle the shell’s raised ridges, tapered end and curved edges carefully. Do not allow the piece to overhang excessively or place heavy objects upon it.
